Thoughts:
This player had been on tilt all night. While I expected to be ahead here, I think it’s worth thinking a bit more about my decision than I did. He would have raised with 77 pre, so I’m realistically only losing to 22 and 33, both of which I block. 73s isn’t totally out of the realm of possibility, but I hadn’t seen him get out of line like that. I expected him to almost always have a flush draw here. Unfortunately this time it was the straight flush draw.
I would also expect Villain to raise pre with suited aces. With Axhh out of his range, his snap jam is a lot stronger. Many players may not jam without a nutted draw, which means he leans more towards value here. But he was tilted and he may have been liable to be jamming with any relatively high hearts. I’m sure he was perfectly comfortable getting it in vs. a set, or possibly even better hearts.
