After five years of grinding poker, and hundreds of games hosted, our founder, Seth Westerman, wanted to put his passion to good use. And where better to help than our planet’s aquatic ecosystems? A good shark takes care of their home.
Tap the Glass is a network of poker lovers looking to play, improve, and give back. Through charity tournaments, home games, and coaching, we have built a beautiful community of sharp players and raised hundreds for environmental causes.
Poker players love to say “don’t tap the glass,” i.e “don’t alert the inexperienced players to their faults.” But we’re here to rewrite that mantra! Fish, sharks, and all ocean creatures are welcome at our games and coaching sessions to learn, improve, and share.
What is Tap the Glass?
Leadership
Seth’s poker journey began from the scratched webcam of a 2012 macbook. His friends started playing a $20 zoom game during covid, and the rest is history. Frustrated with losing, Seth started to study and play more seriously, and eventually graduated to bigger games. But he still crushes in that $20 game every week!
Seth has over 250,000 hands played between online and NYC live games. He loves breaking down the minutia of poker hands, and helping players of all levels work on their game from a GTO perspective.
There is always more to learn, and we are constantly working on our own poker games. Poker has given members of Tap the Glass responsibility, purpose, and lifelong friends, and we are here to give back!
